📚 Introduction

Klikdokter is an online teleconsultation platform focused on health, helping clients with disease concerns, ordering medications, and redeeming doctor prescriptions. The desktop redesign took about four months, and the results are significantly improved.

👨🏻‍💻 My Role

From the start of the project until it was handed over to the Product Manager, I served as the designer, conducting user testing and development (Product Designer). During the initial ideation phase, I collaborated with the lead UI/UX designer, Dimy, and the Product Manager, Nadira, who facilitated communication with the business team and engineers.

🚨Problem

We don’t prioritize improving or updating the KlikDokter website since the majority of KlikDokter users rely on the mobile app.

Prior to the redesign, Klikdokter’s website was largely irrelevant, consisting only of health content. Since the features of Klikdokter were not visible at all, an upgrade was necessary to create a more functional and responsible website.

We aim to increase the number of users downloading the mobile app from the website, making it easier for people to consult with doctors online.

⚽ Goal

Update design website

In terms of design and user experience, the website’s appearance was updated to make it more user-friendly. Currently, Klikdokter users visit the website more often than the app, primarily to read articles rather than to consult.

Drive app download

We aim to encourage customers to use the app instead of the website, as it offers greater convenience and more comprehensive features, whereas the website receives less frequent maintenance.

📋 Process

I began brainstorming ideas on my own, and once I had one, I presented it to the UI/UX lead at Klikdokter.

Design Sprint

The results of the design sprint for the Klikdokter webpage aimed to enhance collaboration between departments. This sprint involved contributions from both the product design team and the product manager. The objective was to align everyone around a shared goal. I also analyzed competitors such as Halodoc, Alodokter, and SehatQ during this process.

Wireframe

This is the initial view of the wireframe I created, where I’ve organized the information to be displayed. I arranged the items from most important to least important.

I used Whimsical to create this wireframe because its tools are simple to use and implement.

✅ Final Design

Homepage

The Klikdokter homepage design has improved, featuring an install button that directs visitors to download the Klikdokter app, making it easier and more convenient to use its features. Promotions and articles are now organized by priority, with visible features neatly arranged. However, the numerous ad placements slightly diminish the overall appeal of the site design.

List & detail artikel

I updated the list and article details, adding a doctor feature to encourage users to initiate a consultation when reading an article.

Shipping Address

To simplify the process for consumers, the shipping address form is kept as straightforward as possible.

Klikdokter Help Center

This is a new feature, and a help center is essential to provide users with an easy way to ask questions or learn more about Klikdokter.

Usability Testing & Customer Interview

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, I conducted an online usability test via Zoom for users aged 18 and above to validate the design and prototype.
