Hublr
📚 Introduction
Hublr is a dating app similar to Tinder or Bumble, but it is exclusively for Muslims. What’s the difference? The app follows a unique approach to partner search that aligns with Muslim values, making it easier for Muslims to find a suitable partner.
👨🏻💻 My Role
I didn’t create this application from scratch, as several pre-designed screens were already available. Instead, I continued the design by adhering to the existing style. In this role, I served as a UX/UI Designer, responsible for crafting the visual design and user experience of the application.
🚨Problem
The app wasn’t fully developed when I was asked to assist with redesigning some pre-existing screens. I was then tasked with completing the design of these application screens.
⚽ Goal
Visitors understand what are we doing.
Can find their partner.
Easy to use and understand by users.
📋 Process
The development of this application took two weeks, from research to prototype. However, due to budget and time constraints, no usability testing was conducted during the process.
Here, I conducted a benchmark analysis of the Bumble app, which helped to save time during the process.
Benchmark Analysis
Here, I analyzed the view that I believe would be most suitable for implementation, such as the interface used when searching for a partner. This type of view is common in dating apps, where users simply swipe left or right to indicate their preferences.
✅ Final Design
In this project, I skipped wireframing due to time constraints and proceeded directly to creating the high-fidelity design. The result clearly highlights the difference in the flow of how Muslims search for a partner.
The difference is that when two users swipe right on each other, a moderator intervenes in the chat room. Other than that, the features are similar to those found in typical dating apps.
➡️ On progress Development
Since the app is still in development, it is not available for viewing at the moment. However, you can view the prototype by following this link. Click on it Link to explore the prototype in more detail.
Thank you for reading through! Hope you enjoyed learning about my design and thought process. :)
