Modelmaking
📚 Introduction
Modelmaking is a website designed for designers and researchers, especially those in the digital products field. It targets users from small startup companies or those in the process of expanding, aiming to help them speed up their development timelines.
👨🏻💻 My Role
I developed this landing page from concept to prototype, working alongside a graphic designer (Stela) to complete the project.
🚨Problem
This landing page was created because Modelmaking did not have one to capture people’s attention.
⚽ Goal
Visitors understand what are we doing.
Visitors understand the benefits for them.
Visitors are interested in registering or contacting our sales/admin.
📋 Process
For this project, I didn’t need to search for layout references as stakeholders requested that it be based on the community Figma, particularly Landify’s homepage. I then selected a few other landing page ideas and worked on merging them into a single design.
Since the stakeholders’ request had a two-week deadline, I conducted a benchmark analysis by reviewing several similar landing sites, including Visual Eyes, Mazes, and Usability Hub.
Stakeholders also asked me to create a design style similar to MailChimp or Visual Eyes.
Benchmark Analysis
Stakeholders want to use a zigzag layout in this benchmark, as shown below.
They also prefer the icon and text layout as shown below.
Wireframe
After completing the analysis, I created a wireframe that fulfilled the stakeholders’ requirements. Below are some elements of the wireframe I developed.
Illustration & Icon
I enlisted the help of a friend to assist with the graphics and icons I used. The color palette followed a monochromatic style, using shades close to the brand’s chosen color. The image below showcases the final illustration and icons.
✅ Final Design
This is the final result of the landing page, created with the help of my graphic designer friend (Stela). The design was developed based on the stakeholders’ requests. Initially, I planned to incorporate some blurb gradation elements, but the stakeholders preferred a simpler design. They also requested two variations, including an icon with text and a zigzag layout, as shown in the image below.
➡️ On progress Development
As the website is still under development, it is not currently visible. However, you can view the prototype through this link. Click below to explore the prototype in more detail.
